Report an Intimate Image Shared Without Consent

If a private or intimate image or video of you (real or digitally created) was shared on SoCal Sisterhood without your consent, you can ask us to remove it. We will remove valid requests within 48 hours and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies, as required by the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act.

You do not need an account, and you do not need to be a member.

How to send a request

Email safety@socalsisterhood.com with the subject line "Takedown request." Include:

  1. Your signature (typing your full name counts as an electronic signature).
  2. Where the content is. A link, a screenshot, or a description that lets us find it (the event, conversation, or album, and roughly when it was posted).
  3. A short statement that you have a good-faith belief the image or video shows you in an intimate way and was shared without your consent.
  4. How to reach you (email address or phone number).

You can also use the Report button on the content inside the app, which reaches the same safety team.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your request and review it right away.
  • If the request is valid, we remove the content within 48 hours of receiving it, look for identical copies, and take action on the account that posted it.
  • We keep a protected record of the reported content as evidence, as described in our Privacy Policy, and share it only with law enforcement or as legally required.

If someone is in danger or the person pictured is under 18

  • If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
  • If the person pictured is, or may be, under 18, also report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org. Minors can use takeitdown.ncmec.org to help remove images across many platforms.
  • StopNCII.org helps adults prevent intimate images from being shared on participating platforms.

If your concern is a copyright issue and not an intimate image, see our copyright (DMCA) page.
